Hennie is a dedicated women’s health advocate, educator and coach.
As a licensed physical therapist in British Columbia, Canada, she specializes in pelvic floor health, postpartum recovery, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Having navigated through postpartum exhaustion, persistent pain, and pelvic floor challenges, she has personally experienced the transformative power of self-awareness, proactive interventions and a comprehensive approach to healing that goes beyond symptom management.
Hennie began her career as a physical therapist in 2010, working in a private clinic in Vancouver where she provided care for individuals with chronic pain, overuse injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. She advanced her clinical expertise at Richmond Hospital, where she served in diverse settings including acute care, residential care, palliative care, and community health. This breadth of experience laid a strong foundation for her holistic and compassionate approach to patient care.
Hennie is certified in acupuncture with Acupuncture Canada and is also a Gokavi Transverse Technique (GTT) advanced dry needling practitioner. She then completed her pelvic floor physical therapy training at BC Women’s Hospital in 2013. Committed to deepening her expertise in Women’s Health, she pursued further development in Mindfulness-Based Chronic Pain Relief Therapy, Women’s Cancer Rehabilitation, and has integrated Arvigo® Abdominal Therapy into her pelvic health practice.
She recognizes the negative impact of chronic stress and inactivity on women’s health and is committed to guiding women toward lifestyle and mindful practices. Combining 15 years of clinical expertise in physical therapy with her experience in postpartum healing, Hennie is on a mission to bridge the knowledge gap in pelvic health and postpartum recovery, laying the foundation for lasting health and vitality in mothers.
She empowers professional working mothers to thrive in motherhood and careers, without sacrificing their well-being or precious family moments. Rooted in the biopsychosocial model of care, Hennie’s holistic approach integrates evidence-based interventions and self-management strategies as first-line therapy for helping women regain control of their health. Her work extends beyond postpartum recovery, supporting women through their perimenopausal years and beyond, fostering lifelong implementation toward resilience.
Hennie lives in Richmond, BC, with her husband, two children and two cats, balancing her passion for women’s wellness with the joy of family life.
In addition to her online pelvic health coaching practice, Hennie offers limited in-person pelvic floor physical therapy sessions in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Hennie offers a specialized pelvic floor physical therapy practice that combines clinical excellence with a whole-body, compassionate approach to women’s health. Understanding the pelvic floor is intricately connected to bladder, bowel, sexual, and core function, Hennie provides personalized care for women navigating conditions such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, painful intercourse (dyspareunia), pelvic floor dysfunction during pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause and beyond. Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy includes both internal and external assessment and hands-on treatment to restore strength, mobility, and coordination in the pelvic floor muscles and surrounding structures. Hennie’s approach goes beyond isolated muscle training— she uses evidence-based techniques, breathwork, and education to help you reconnect with your body, understand your symptoms, and feel empowered in your healing. Her care is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and respect for each woman’s story.
To enhance healing and support the body’s natural ability to self-regulate, Hennie integrates Arvigo® Abdominal Therapy, a gentle, hands-on technique rooted in traditional Maya healing wisdom. This therapy focuses on improving the position and function of abdominal and pelvic organs by increasing circulation of blood, lymph, nerve, and energy (chi) in the area. Arvigo® therapy supports conditions such as painful or irregular periods, endometriosis, fertility challenges, digestive issues, postpartum recovery, and pelvic congestion. By addressing organ misalignment and soft tissue restrictions in the abdomen, this therapy not only relieves physical tension but often supports emotional release and a deeper sense of body connection. It’s a nurturing, intuitive complement to pelvic floor therapy—especially powerful for those with a history of abdominal or pelvic trauma, surgery, or chronic pain.
Hennie also incorporates Pfilates (Pelvic Floor Pilates), a research-based movement system designed to retrain and strengthen the pelvic floor through functional, full-body movement patterns. Developed by a urogynecologist, Pfilates activates the pelvic floor more effectively than traditional Kegels by combining it with dynamic postures, core work, and breath awareness. Hennie uses Pfilates to help women build long-term resilience, stability, and body confidence—whether recovering from childbirth, managing prolapse, or preparing for menopause. These movements are simple, accessible, and tailored to your daily life, empowering you to integrate pelvic health into how you move, breathe, and carry yourself every day. It’s about strengthening from the inside out—without stress, shame, or overwhelm.
Hennie looks forward to serving you at Lee’s Physiotherapy Clinic and supporting you on your journey to pelvic health, vitality, and whole-body wellness.

"Hennie understood my struggles right away. The exercises she provided were simple, effective, and easy to follow with clear video demonstrations. I could do them in the comfort of my own home without worrying about childcare or taking time out of my busy schedule.
Thanks to Hennie, my leaky bladder is no longer controlling my life!!"
“I was rear-ended twice a year.
After extensive therapy, I was still having the worse migraines, along with extreme neck and back pain.
Nobody was able to help me until I met Hennie, and she has changed my life!
I truly thought I was going to live with this pain forever until starting therapy with Hennie.
She has been helping me heal, and I have been experiencing positive changes for the first time since my accidents.
I can't thank this woman enough!”
"As a mom with young kids, Hennie's virtual service is a godsend not having to worry about childcare and getting out of the home. Hennie understands what it's like being a mother facing the struggles of balancing work and family. The exercises she assigned were easy to follow with video demonstration and fit into chaotic life at home, which is most crucial to an effective outcome of physiotherapy. I highly recommend her service."
"Hennie is a highly responsible and motivated person! She has a strong passion for women's pelvic health. During my last pregnancy, she offered me lots of tips and exercises to prepare me for labour and birth. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for physiotherapy specifically for women's health. She is very knowledgeable in this subject area!"
"I saw Hennie for low back pain and incontinence when sneezing and exercising. These problems affected my quality of life. After sessions with Hennie, which incorporated pelvic muscles and core exercises, as well as valuable self-care advice, my condition improved significantly. I can now tolerate more physical activities with less back pain. Incontinence comes less frequently and less severe. I would highly recommend Hennie to anyone with issues similar to mine! Thank you for your help!"
